This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your data. By accessing or using ARITHMOS, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, username, avatar selection, and school/institution name (if provided).
• Profile Data: Age range, grade level, and educational preferences.
• Communication Data: Messages sent through in-app messaging features and any correspondence you send to our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Game Data: Scores, match results, rankings, performance statistics, achievements, streaks, and progression data.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: Session duration, features accessed, in-app actions, and interaction patterns.
• Network Information: IP address, approximate geolocation (country/region level), and connection type.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

• Social Login: If you sign in via Facebook or Google, we may receive your public profile name, email address, and profile picture as permitted by your account settings.
• Payment Providers: If you make in-app purchases, our payment processors (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave, Google Play Billing) may share transaction confirmation details. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers or banking details.
• Analytics Services: We use Firebase Analytics and similar tools to understand app usage patterns in aggregate form.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your ARITHMOS account and player profile.
• To facilitate real-time multiplayer matchmaking, leaderboards, and competitions.
• To track your learning progress, performance analytics, and achievement history.
• To personalize your experience, including difficulty adjustments and content recommendations.
• To process in-app purchases and deliver purchased items or features.
• To send push notifications about match invitations, rewards, and important updates (with your consent).
• To detect and prevent fraud, cheating, abuse, and unauthorized access.

• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, real-time database, cloud messaging, and analytics.
• Facebook SDK: Social login and optional social sharing features.
• Payment Gateways: Paystack, Flutterwave, and/or Google Play Billing for transaction processing.
• Advertising Networks: We may display advertisements through Google AdMob or similar networks. These services may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
• SMS/Communication Services: For account verification and notifications where applicable.

6. Meta (Facebook) Platform Data

When you use Facebook Login to sign in to ARITHMOS, we receive certain data from Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta") referred to as "Platform Data." This includes:

• Meta User ID: A unique identifier associated with your Facebook account.
• Email Address: The primary email address associated with your Facebook account (if permission is granted).
• Public Profile Information: Your name and profile picture as configured in your Facebook privacy settings.

How We Use Meta Platform Data

• To authenticate your identity and create or link your ARITHMOS account.
• To personalize your in-game profile (display name and avatar).
• We do not use Meta Platform Data for advertising, data brokerage, or selling to third parties.

Data Processors for Meta Platform Data

The following data processor has access to Meta Platform Data obtained through ARITHMOS:

Firebase (Google LLC) processes Platform Data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect user data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Government and Public Authority Requests

Fikazon Technologies Ltd has not provided personal data or personal information of users to public authorities in response to national security requests. This does not include requests related to search warrants or court orders associated with criminal investigations.

We have the following policies in place regarding requests from public authorities for personal data:

• Required review of the legality of all such requests before any disclosure.
• Data minimization policy — we disclose only the minimum information necessary to comply with lawful requests.
• Full documentation of all requests, including our responses, legal reasoning, and actors involved.

Deletion of Meta Platform Data

When you request account deletion (see our Data Deletion Policy), all Meta Platform Data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our systems. You may also manage data held by Meta directly through your Facebook Data Settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:

• Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account, plus 90 days after account deletion to allow for recovery requests.
• Game Performance Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account to maintain your progress, statistics, and leaderboard positions.
• Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of 6 years as required by Nigerian tax and financial regulations.
• Communication Logs: Retained for up to 12 months for support quality and safety purposes.
• Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

After account deletion is processed, your personal data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before full purge.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Secure authentication systems with hashed credentials.
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
• Regular security assessments and vulnerability monitoring.
• Firebase Security Rules to enforce data access permissions at the database level.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to promptly addressing any breach in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Children's Privacy

ARITHMOS is designed as an educational math game and may be used by younger audiences. We take children's privacy seriously:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
• We minimize data collection for younger users to only what is necessary for gameplay.
• In-app messaging features include content filtering and safety measures.
• Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to review, modify, or delete their child's data.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided us with personal data without authorization.

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including but not limited to the United States (Firebase/Google Cloud) and Nigeria. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fikazon Technologies Ltd shall not be liable for any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data, any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials, or any acts or omissions of third-party service providers. Our total liability in connection with this Privacy Policy shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App, via email, or by posting a prominent notice. Your continued use of ARITHMOS after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

15. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
