ARITHMOS is an educational math battle game designed to make learning mathematics fun and engaging for players of all ages. Fikazon Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of young users. This policy outlines our approach to child safety, age-appropriate content, and the responsibilities of parents and guardians.

ARITHMOS is rated suitable for all ages. The App contains educational math content and competitive gameplay features with no violent, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate material. However, different age groups have different requirements:

• Google Play Families Policy — We adhere to Google Play's requirements for apps that may be used by children, including content standards and advertising restrictions.
• Facebook Platform Policy — We follow Facebook's guidelines regarding data collection from minors using social login features.

We minimize the amount of personal data collected from users under 18. Our practices for minor users include:

• Ad personalization may be enabled but can be disabled through device settings.
• Parents retain the right to review, modify, or delete their teenager's account data.

• No User-Generated Public Content: Players cannot upload images, videos, or create public posts, minimizing exposure to inappropriate content.

• Chat Safety: In-app messaging features include profanity filters and content moderation to prevent bullying, harassment, and sharing of inappropriate content.
• No External Links in Gameplay: Players are not exposed to external websites or unvetted content during active gameplay.
• Positive Reinforcement: The game uses encouraging language, growth-oriented messaging, and educational tips rather than punitive or demoralizing feedback.

5. Advertising Standards for Minors

We adhere to strict advertising standards when displaying ads to younger users:

• No personalized or behaviorally targeted ads are shown to users identified as under 13.
• All advertisements are reviewed for age-appropriateness and must comply with our ad content guidelines.
• Ads for alcohol, tobacco, gambling, weapons, dating services, or other adult products are strictly prohibited.
• Deceptive ads (e.g., fake close buttons, misleading download prompts) are prohibited.
• Rewarded ad experiences (watching tips/ads for in-game rewards) are voluntary and clearly labeled.
• We do not use manipulative dark patterns to pressure minors into watching ads or making purchases.

• In-app purchases require deliberate user action and are processed through secure payment gateways.
• We strongly recommend that parents enable purchase authentication (password, fingerprint, or PIN) on their child's device to prevent unauthorized purchases.
• Purchases made by minors without parental consent are eligible for refunds as described in our Refund Policy.
• Virtual items are designed to enhance gameplay but are not required to enjoy ARITHMOS. The game is fully playable without purchases.
• We do not use manipulative techniques (loot boxes with hidden odds, artificial urgency, or peer pressure mechanics) to drive purchases by minors.

7. Parental Controls and Responsibilities

We encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their child's use of ARITHMOS:

7.1 What Parents Can Do

• Monitor Usage: Review your child's game activity, progress, and any messages exchanged.
• Manage Account: Contact us to review, modify, or delete your child's account and data at any time.
• Control Purchases: Enable device-level purchase authentication to prevent unauthorized transactions.
• Set Time Limits: Use your device's built-in parental controls or screen time features to manage gameplay duration.
• Report Concerns: Contact us immediately if you have any concerns about your child's experience.

7.2 Parental Consent

For children under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information. This may involve parental email confirmation, consent forms, or other verification methods as required by applicable law. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information without consent, we will promptly delete that information.

8. Anti-Bullying and Harassment

ARITHMOS has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, and toxic behavior:

• Players who engage in bullying, threatening, or harassing behavior through in-app messaging or other features will face disciplinary action including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
• All players can report inappropriate behavior through the App's reporting mechanisms.
• Reports involving minors are prioritized and reviewed promptly.
• We cooperate with law enforcement when illegal activity targeting minors is identified or suspected.

9. Reporting Safety Concerns

We take all safety reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports involving immediate danger to a child will be escalated to the appropriate authorities.

10. Third-Party Services and Children

ARITHMOS uses third-party services that may process children's data. We ensure the following:

• Firebase: Used in compliance with Google's data processing standards, with limited data collection enabled for minor users.
• Ad Networks: Configured to serve age-appropriate, non-personalized ads to users identified as minors, in compliance with COPPA and applicable regulations.
• Social Login: Social login features for minors comply with the respective platform's policies regarding children's accounts.

We regularly review our third-party integrations to ensure ongoing compliance with child protection standards.

11. Data Deletion for Minors

Parents and guardians may request the deletion of their child's account and personal data at any time by following the process outlined in our Data Deletion Policy. For deletion requests involving minors:

• Parents must verify their identity and relationship to the child.
• We prioritize and expedite deletion requests involving children's data.
• All personal data associated with the child's account will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 7–14 business days.

12. Educational Commitment

ARITHMOS is first and foremost an educational platform. Our commitment to children includes:

• Using gamification responsibly to motivate learning without creating addictive patterns.

13. Limitation of Liability

While we take extensive measures to protect young users, Fikazon Technologies Ltd cannot guarantee complete safety from all risks inherent to online activity. Parents and guardians are encouraged to actively supervise their children's use of digital platforms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for harm arising from unauthorized use, misrepresentation of age, or third-party actions beyond our reasonable control.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Child Safety & Age Restriction Policy to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or platform features. Material changes will be communicated through the App and/or via email to registered parent/guardian accounts. Your continued use of ARITHMOS after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

15. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, the Child Rights Act, and applicable international child protection frameworks. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
